PDE Virtual Release Notes

Page history last edited by Pasquale Barilla 10 years, 3 months ago Saved with comment

The Playpower Development Environment Virtual is a seperate, shard version of the PDE Linux-Live-Cd, designed for people to be able to "jump in" to development without all the hassle of installing the OS and getting it just right. PDE Virtual will also be used to test new features that may or may not be included in major releases of the OS.

PDE Virtual is currently at version 0.3.1, and can be downloaded from here

PDE Virtual is ready to run, simply download the rar file above, extract it and add it to your current VM solution.

Because of the nature of PDE Virtual, a default user account needed to be created. You will auto-login into this account, but if you decide later to add any programs or change any system settings, the password is "playpower". This can be changed quite eaisly, if required.

PDE Virtual was built in Virtual Box, using a custom distro (PDE Linux-Live-CD) made for the Playpower Foundation. PDE Virtual should work in almost every VM solution that supports VDI files.
